DEDICATED TO CLIENT SERVICE
DISTINGUISHED IN PUBLIC SERVICE

Trust is not given. It is earned. When you need a lawyer, you need
someone you can trust. Finding that person is easy if you know a good
lawyer already, or if one is recommended by friends or family. Even then,
the lawyer you find may not have experience handling your specific legal
problem.

At Vollmer & Tanck, we strive to earn your trust from the start. Our strength
is in our size. When you confer with us, you meet one of the three partners
who will handle your case from start to finish. Nothing builds trust faster
than a one-on-one commitment to a successful outcome. Because we are a
small firm, we can demonstrate that commitment by doing the little things
that larger firms sometimes overlook.

At Vollmer & Tanck, we emphasize highly personalized client service -- home
visits, prompt return phone calls, candid case analysis, accurate fee
estimates and partner-to-client accountability. And because our overhead
costs are lower, we offer a fee structure that passes our savings on to you.
In this way, we offer expert legal counsel at lower cost.

Our firm has four goals. First, we are dedicated to serve the legal needs of
senior citizens, their spouses and their adult children. This would include
both estate planning (wills, trusts, probate, estate tax/gift tax issues) and
life planning (wealth preservation, health insurance issues, Medicaid,
Medicare, home health care, nursing home care, guardianships, and related
issues).

We alert senior citizens and their loved ones to unexpected limitations in
their private and public health care coverages. We offer strategies to
protect their homes and life savings if governmental assistance eventually
is needed to provide long-term home health care or nursing home care. And
we take on government bureaucracy to ensure that the right form of
assistance is provided without jeopardizing family assets.

Our experience in this field is both professional and personal. In their later
years, our own parents confronted many of the elder law issues that form
the core of our practice. As lawyers, we know the laws, regulations and
policies. But as children of our own parents, we also know how it feels
when parental independence is diminished and the governmental safety
net does not extend as far as the family had hoped. We have been there
too.

Second, we are dedicated to serve the legal needs of children and the
disabled. Many of our clients wish to obtain or preserve various government
entitlements (Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security
Disability) that serve as their only source of income in their later years, or
during periods of physical or emotional disability.

Many of our clients are parents of disabled children who wish to leave
family assets to them without reducing or jeopardizing government
entitlements already in place to meet their children's financial needs. We
are there to address these issues so government entitlements, once
obtained, are not lost or diminished precisely when they are needed the
most.

Third, we strive to keep our clients abreast of the latest developments in
the field, and to educate and sensitize the public to issues of particular
concern to our client base. We offer free seminars and workshops to senior
citizen groups, churches, synagogues and other interested civic
organizations. Check our website for a listing of upcoming
presentations.

If you or a loved one confront a medical crisis that may place the family
home or family assets at risk, we are available to provide legal counsel to
preserve those assets, plan for long-term medical needs, or meet the short-
term emergency. If you wish to do advance estate planning, we are
available to design estate plans that preserve financial independence and
control and minimize the payment of estate and gift taxes.

To learn more about our practice, just give us a call. If we can be of help,
we will schedule a conference with you, evaluate your situation, provide a
written strategy to solve it, estimate the cost to implement the strategy
and follow through until the goal is achieved. In short, we will treat you the
way we would expect to be treated ourselves.
